Children and Mandala's

Mandala Peace Arts provide children with a wonderful opportunity to express themselves by combining the use of writing words in a simple artistic format. It is a great tool for them to acknowledge their own use of words and the power words possess. They also learn to take the time to say “Thank you” to those things in their lives that often go unnoticed. Children are naturally drawn to nature, and the Mandala writing increases their respect and awareness of their environment and how it affects every aspect of their lives.

Children will enjoy the rewarding experience in contributing to the energy of Mandala writing and it’s global effect!

Mandala Peace Arts Program for Children:

We will discuss the importance of our environment at your school, Day camp, or group and talk or group. We also provide children an opportunity to discuss the things that they are grateful for. The initial lecture shows how a Mandala looks and how to complete one. Children are then requested to verbally list the things they are grateful for and write them on poster board or chalkboard.

The children are free to write, draw, or color in the Mandala in any way they like. This project encompasses many different aspects of a child’s learning process including learning to spell new words, create works of art, and share thoughts and ideas in a communal group. Children will share ideas as well as markers!

This project is occurring worldwide in many different forums. For example, thousands of children in Europe wrote peace Mandala’s for the United States after 911 occurred. It opened the door for children to discuss their feelings about what happened and empowered them to contribute on their own.

If you are interested in having a Mandala Peace Arts Day please fill out the contact form below. There is no fee for this program.

Templates for Childrens' Mandalas

The childrens' Mandalas are especially created to appeal to the younger mind. They provide imagery that assists in focusing their thoughts. For example, the Mandala surrounded by children of all different ethnic groups holding hands could be used to express words of infinite peace or love. The animal themed Mandalas can be used during classes on nature or animals to teach children about being thankful to everything nature provides.

For example, if we wish to fill our hearts with love, we write “Infinite Love”, if we desire good health we write “Infinite Health”, or if we want to build up good relations with others we write “Infinite Harmony”. If we want Peace in the world, we may write, “May Peace Prevail On Earth”.
